“The Lighthouse in Edmonton has been a wonderful new home for us—above expectations.
Coming from a large home and enjoying our yard, flowers, get-togethers with our kids, grandkids, and friends, we left it behind a little sooner than we ever would have expected it to happen. But the Lighthouse building project came into view, and slowly we became used to the idea of having to make a change.
Now, half a year after moving in, we can say—wow, what a blessing. We have a beautiful two-bedroom apartment (yes, much smaller than our 2,800 sq. ft. house). Yet looking back, there were a lot more blessings than the hardship of having to leave stuff behind.
The Lighthouse has truly been a ‘lighthouse’ in our lives—a new way of living that has exceeded our expectations of what community living is. We enjoy a very caring and loving environment and have experienced here that all staff go above and beyond to make this a wonderful place to be.
Getting to know new residents moving in has been interesting—each of us has a story to tell, and there is room for all here.”
